Paris ... Day two

So on we go....

We started the day heading out as far as we could go to see La Basilique du Sacre' Coeur (I believe it's loosely translated by me as Church of the Sacred Heart). It was absolutely breathtaking inside and out. The view, from outside of course is great as you look over Paris.

We originally came up this massive flight of stairs from behind the church. It was so quiet and then we walked around and realized that we had been behind it and saw all the crowds in front.

Then we went on towards Les Invalides and Napoleon's Tomb. An amazing museum filled with WWII history and memorabilia, armour from several centuries and so much more. Of course, Napoleon's Tomb is there and I'll just say WOW....there was a lot of money spent on the building and caskets, etc.

We walked past several other sights, had some lunch and then headed on to the Notre Dame Cathedral. 

After all our wondering around we found beautiful gardens and of course they had a playground so we felt it was only fair to let Levi get down and play for a while. (Especially since the night before he was talking in his sleep and saying "Finished, Walk" several different times during the night....which is translated to "I'm finished and want to walk." Yeah I felt pretty bad the next morning...obviously not too bad though since we kept on going. He's such a trooper to put up with his parents).

It was super cute seeing little French children talking and playing.
