....and away we go....we're homeless

Last week was hectic to say the least. Driving to and from Charleston, SC in a day to get our car shipped, stopping by IKEA on the way back to buy a bed for all of you folks coming to visit us :c) ,people coming to pack and move on several different shipments, closing on the house and I'm sure there's more that I've just blocked out at this point :c)

So here are some photos of the house getting packed up and sent on its way.

Levi watching the packers pack the truck.

Levi watching the truck getting ready to go. Such a large truck for our little amount of stuff. I think we filled the back part not even to the "M" of Mayflower.

There goes the truck down the road....we'll see all this stuff in about 2 months on the other side of the pond :c)

Some randomness at our house

Just kicked back on his bike while mommy tries to organize some of the stuff for the movers.

Eating a chocolate covered strawberry....still loves his strawberries (otherwise known in Levi language as "das ist"....not to be confused with the German translation of "that is")

When a 20 month old puts his hat on by himself, this is the result....

Gang signs...watch out

Talking on the phone with Oma about Duduza and Iqhawe

Well that's about all the excitement going on at our house. Trying to continue to "organize" stuff since we can't pack anything...the movers have to do all the work. By next week we'll be like squatters living in our own house. Maybe a mattress or two on the floor or none...at least the fridge, washer and dryer are staying with the house that way we can at least eat and have clean clothes :c)
I will try to keep everything updated in these next few weeks as we become nomads hoping from place to place....just as a little taste, it looks a bit like....Missouri, Wisconsin, North Carolina, Tennessee, maybe some Georgia in there too. If only we got frequent driving miles :c)
We love all of you and hope everyone is doing well. Please keep in touch.

There's nothing like fresh picked strawberry's....

We had such a great time with friends today. Levi of course loves strawberry's and he kept window shopping for them in Grandma and Grandpa's fridge over the weekend. So when we got the news that a group of us were going strawberry picking we thought..."can't miss this opportunity". Now last year at this time when we went strawberry picking Levi couldn't even crawl yet. A lot has changed. It also just so happened that we were going to the same strawberry farm as last year....a complete coincidence. At the beginning, Levi was more interested in all the farm equipment that was driving around and so was watching that go on. Then I managed to entice him for a moment to walk over and look at the strawberry's. He then decided he'd try his hand at picking some and well it didn't take to long to start sampling some. And by sampling I mean inhaling the strawberry and picking more and inhaling and so on. It was wonderful to watch. Needless to say we came back with a few photos, that we hope you'll enjoy. (The first picture is from last year...just to give you and idea).
